Mediation is a negotiation process in which a neutral third party facilitates communication between disputing parties, enabling them to reach a mutually acceptable agreement. Some of the advantages of mediation include:
- Mediated agreements tend to last
- Mediation is more cost-effective than litigation
- The mediation process enhances the possibility of a future relationship
- The win-win approach allows parties to avoid unpredictable outcomes
